  • Hardwood slab supply and curation

  • Bespoke woodworking and interior craftsmanship

  • Timber milling and recovery extraction

  • Woodland management services

  • Consulting and technical advice relating to timber and construction

All products are handcrafted in-house using raw materials sourced and processed by us.


3. Use of the Website

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission

All website content including text, images, and design is owned by English Timber unless otherwise stated.


4. Quotations and Orders

All quotations:

  • Are provided subject to specification review

  • Are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated

  • May change if material costs or scope changes

Bespoke work begins only once:

  • A written agreement is confirmed

  • A deposit has been received

We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.


5. Bespoke Products

Due to the nature of handcrafted timber:

  • Natural variations in grain, tone, and texture will occur

  • Slabs and structural timber may contain natural features such as knots, splits, and character marks

These are not defects but inherent characteristics of natural materials.

Custom commissions are non-refundable once production has commenced.


6. Slab Archive Sales

Slabs listed in the Slab Archive:

  • Are subject to availability

  • May vary slightly from images shown

  • Can be reserved only upon payment of deposit

Full payment is required before dispatch or collection.


7. Site Work and Field Division Services

For timber recovery, woodland management, and extraction:

  • Access permissions must be granted by the landowner

  • Risk assessments may be required

  • Clients are responsible for disclosing relevant environmental or planning restrictions

English Timber accepts no liability for delays caused by third-party permissions, weather conditions, or regulatory intervention.


8. Consulting Services

Technical advice and consulting are provided in good faith based on professional experience.

English Timber does not accept liability for:

  • Third-party contractor workmanship

  • Structural decisions made without full engineering sign-off

Clients should seek independent structural or legal advice where required.


9. Payments

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Deposits are required before work begins

  • Final balance is due prior to delivery or completion

  • Late payments may incur interest

Ownership of goods remains with English Timber until payment is received in full.


10. Delivery

Delivery dates are estimates only.

We are not liable for delays caused by:

  • Supply chain disruption

  • Weather

  • Access restrictions

  • Force majeure events

Risk transfers upon delivery or collection.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

English Timber shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss including:

  • Loss of profit

  • Business interruption

  • Delays beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the contract.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.


12. Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings, and commissioned concepts remain the intellectual property of English Timber unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clients may not reproduce bespoke designs without written consent.


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
